Tim Vicary is an author and a recently retired university teacher from the university of York, England. The Elephant Man is based on a true story. The story is about a man who called (Joseph Merrick) he has a blood and skin diseases. He doesn’t has any money to visit doctor. After The Times posted his story, the readers gave some money to Merrick. Because of the money, he can go to London’s hospital. It was his first good home and he stayed there for three and half years. He died eventually during his sleep.
